Crunch Time

As much as I hate to follow an update with another update, I should really explain the silence. I haven't been posting because this is a crucial period to be very actively applying to jobs. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for environmental work and as such there is a cluster of hiring activity. I have also set a personal deadline for myself to find a new job by summertime. I feel as though I've hit a developmental maximum in my current situation and need to move on to avoid stagnation. Another option I am exploring is learning Spanish and finding a paid room and board volunteer/internship for some sort of environmental work in Latin America. Worst case scenario, nothing works out and I go back to school. Volunteering and going back to school requires saving money, so my schedule is also flooded with extra hours.

In summary, all of my productive efforts outside of work are being spent on activities that are directly linked to getting a career break; any indirectly linked activities, such as writing, are taking a back seat until something pays out.
